Summary industrial visit Pt Agility and Trakindo

PT Agility
First company I visit in industrial visiting is PT. Agility. It is a warehousing company. There is many company store their products, like Nike, MAP, Herbalife and etc. Nike have the largest space in Agility or is the biggest customer of PT agility.

The first I visit in agility is MAP. MAP is a retailer of some brand such as Reebok, Skechers, Diadora and some kids toys. Map distribute the brand product to outlet in mall like Sport Station. When the outlet need just one or two product MAP will deliver it. MAP using a DO for picking the product. Usually the outlet need product from different brand. When delivery the goods distinguish by using the different colour of tape, yellow tape for Jabodetabek and red tape for other city outside Jabodetabek.

Nike is the second brand I visit. In Nike there is a replenishment step. it is a moving goods from up rack into down rack or picking space. Picking space make it easy for Picking process. And also breaking bulk into pieces of goods in replenishment stage. In nike there is a mezzanine. The mezzanine is specified for apparel like socks, t-shirt, training pants and etc. Same as MAP, Nike delivery their product to the outlet in mall. In Nike, there is a information boards about the ability of employees. So we can now all of employees ability. When one of employee absent in replenishment stage we can govern another employee which have same ability.

The last brand I visit in agility is Herbalife. The difference Hebalife with Nike and Map is Herbalife have a value added division. In value added service, therr is the process of stamp halal label on the product because the product using American Halal. And also in value added there is the 'pitting' it's a combination of different types product. Some product of herbalife is stored in cool storage to keep the product in good quality.

PT. Trakindo

The second company I visited is Trakindo. Actually I visited CKB warehouse. Which is Trakindo is the biggest customer in CKB. There is a open storage to store heavy vehicle. In trakindo there are many work station. there are assembly station, workshop station, washing station and painting station. All of that do before the vehicle delivered to customer. inside the warehouse there are spare parts of heavy vehicle and some genset. Inbound in trakindo have specific place. After the trailer which bring heavy vehicle, the vehicle park manually in open warehouse by driving to the spot. in outbound, if the vehicle wanted to deliver to customer, it can be divided by 3 or 4 trailes because of the vehicles are so huge
